The Health Charities Coalition of Canada (HCCC) provides health policy leadership for the health of Canadians.

HCCC appreciates and thanks its funding partners, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Canada’s Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) which have financially contributed to the Coalition both currently and in recent years.

Both organizations have partnered with HCCC in the spirit of, and in accordance with, our strict policy which prevents control or influence by our partners on our decision-making.

In the case of CIHR, this is consistent with its granting guidelines that apply to meetings and knowledge dissemination.  In the case of Rx&D, it is consistent with the seven principles outlined in its Transparency Guidelines, which among others, state that “the independence and integrity of stakeholders, in terms of their operations, policies and activities, should be assured.”

HCCC, a member based organization, is dedicated to advocating for sound public policy on health issues and promoting the highest quality health research.  HCCC strives for excellence in health policy and seeks to ensure that the federal government and policy makers look to the Coalition and its members for timely advice and leadership on major health issues of concern to Canadians; and that they recognize the competence, commitment and contributions of health charities in improving the health and well-being of Canadians.

Together, we can strengthen the health of all Canadians.
