The Health Charities Coalition of Canada advocates on matters of shared interest related to health research and health policy issues common amongst our member organizations.
Our collective work has resulted in policy changes at the federal level to provide greater support to caregivers, which will also have a positive impact on patients and their families.
For many years, we have added a strong, collective and cohesive voice in successfully advocating for increased investments in health research, specifically for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). In addition to advocating for further investments in health research, national health charities who are members of HCCC partner directly with CIHR to fund best science.
We continue to focus on these areas, in addition to our work on greater access to treatment on the basis that Canadians should receive the right treatment at the right time, for the right purpose - regardless of where they live in the country.
